Florida (2004-09-21)

September 13th - September 20th, 2004.

A Washington sunset from above the clouds.
Bye Seattle! We're flying south to Los Angeles (LAX) airport to catch a red-eye flight to Orlando.

One of our first outings (besides the ocean/beaches) was to take an airboat ride through the swamps.

This here be an airboat.
We were with two other guys from the airforce.

There's actually supposed to be a runway where all that water is.
The airforce dudes were salvaging some "weather surveillance equipment" that got flooded from the hurricanes.
(The white dome-looking device actually monitors/records lightning. Cost: ~$65,000.)

OMG OMG OMG, LOOK LOOK, IT'S AN ALLIGATOR!!!!
Okay, so it's not really that exciting.
All it looks like is a log floating through the water (that's the most we ever saw of it).

My step-sister holding a baby alligator.
That's my step-dad to the far right, and behind is the airboat captain.

My turn to play with it.

I told her to give it a kiss, haha.

Look at all those cute little teeth! heh.

Dinner we made one night. yum!

ISLANDS of ADVENTURE!

Jurassic Park river ride.

Uh oh, a raptor is escaping from its cage!

OH CRAP, a T-REX is coming to get us!!!
In the movies, it's always the people who stop to take pictures that get eaten first!

Dualing Dragons, a very fun roller coaster where your feet dangle!

wheeee!!

Incredible Hulk to the left, Fear Fall to the right.
Fear Fall sucked--it lasted like less than a minute. Still fun, though.

The Incredible Hulk starts by shooting you out very very fast.
People don't really fall out; the net is just there to catch people's stuff.

My second $5, 20oz beer.
Ever gone on a roller coaster DRUNK?!
I have, I have!

My brother and me.

My mom and me.

Bye Florida!
